2026 Manufacturing Student Tours / Delivery example

From statewide interest to student experiences.

The challenge

Student interest alone does not create a tour. Schools need confirmed sites, time for approvals, transportation, and a clear point of coordination.

Why3Works’ contribution

School and CTE outreach, student-engagement resources, recruitment and logistics support, partner communication, documentation, and recommendations for the next cycle.

What the work produced

Student tour experiences connecting education and manufacturing partners, alongside an assessment of participation barriers and practical improvements for future delivery.

47Schools reached
36Schools expressing interest
10Schools participating

Reported school outreach figures from AWB Institute’s Manufacturing Student Tours 2026 final report. These are school counts, not student or industry-partner totals; no participation rate is inferred.

What we learned: Earlier host confirmations and additional regional formats can give schools more time and more ways to participate. Attendance measures reach; longer-term career progression requires follow-up evidence.
